For Loved Ones

When someone you care about is sick, it turns your world upside down. You desperately want to help but may not be sure of exactly what to do. Your loved one may be moody and distant one moment and tearful and clingy the next. You may be afraid of saying the wrong thing or worry that you aren’t doing enough. Or you may be secretly sick and tired of dealing with it all, but feeling guilty about feeling that way.

This is normal.

Most of the attention is probably focused on the person who is ill, but your feelings are equally important. Besides, you’ll be better able to care for your loved one if you first care for yourself.
